Canadarago Lake, May 5th, 2019
Forty degrees and cloudy didn’t stop 8 anglers from competing in today’s event and didnt stop the bass from cooperating either. The sun came out by late morning and temps reached the mid fifties. Water temps were in the low fifties. 38 bass were caught with a total weight of 98 lbs.11 oz. for an average weight of 2.6 lbs per fish. Five smallies in the 4 lb.class, two 5 lb.class largies and numerous three pounders were documented in today’s competition.
Anglers that adapt to these early season conditions are experiencing some of the biggest catches of the year. Greg Microni has put in two weeks of solid fish catches and coming in from a second place finish at last week’s event, he was able to secure the win in the BOATER/CUMULATIVE pool with a weight of 17 lbs.4 oz.for 6 fish. Frank Microni nailed down the win in the MARSHALLS pool with a bass weighing 4 lbs. 11 oz. .
